Our Directors are Michael Guthrie and Sandy Guthrie. They will work closely with you to ensure that the optimum capabilities are applied to your unique situation.

Michael Guthrie

Michael Guthrie is a proven business leader who loves finding opportunities for growth.

As a business consultant and executive mentor, Michael’s focus is on helping leaders realise opportunities to grow their business through insightful strategic planning, powerful team engagement, skill development and effective project management.

Michael brings a wealth of business experience gained across blue chip organizations such as Diageo (global premium alcoholic beverages), Coca Cola Amatil (soft drinks and snack foods), Sara Lee Corporation (convenience foods), Vodafone (mobile communications) and Tabcorp Limited (casinos and hospitality).

In addition to holding full P&L accountability as a general manager, Michael has led functional teams responsible for sales and customer relationship management, brand management, product and service marketing, innovation management, and retail category development.

Michael has tertiary qualifications in business and marketing. His depth and breadth of experience across the marketing and sales disciplines and his consulting exposure to different markets, countries and cultures enables him to bring a perspective that is strategic yet pragmatic, when addressing business issues and opportunities.

Sandy Guthrie

Sandy Guthrie has a  Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and worked for 9 years in brand marketing and sales with Unilever and Bausch & Lomb.

Sandy also has a Bachelor of Fine Art from Queensland College of Art (2009) and Diplomas in Colour and Design and Interior Decoration from the School of Colour & Design Sydney.

She ran a successful colour consulting business in Sydney for 8 years and has completed courses in Advanced Presentation Skills, Negotiating Skills, Time Management and Advertising Development.

Recent projects:

Some of our recent projects have included:

  • Designing and running Innovation Development workshops for a major Australian retailer.
  • Assisting a client to document the business processes used by its Merchandise management team, and developing new induction approaches for Category Managers and Demand Planners.
  • Designing and delivering team based training to develop “Project Management” capabilities across a large organisation.
  • Leading a project to create an improved commercial strategy for a client in India . The project involved developing local shopper insights, defining the merchandising strategy and standards to be used in retail outlets, and reviewing and providing recommendations for updating the sales force design.
  • Providing customer and marketing advice at a strategic planning workshop for a major Australian packaging company.
  • Running a “Creative Time Out” team building workshop for a Sydney based Accounting firm.
  • Assisting a company operating in Asia to identify barriers to the growth of its global brands in a joint venture.
  • Providing strategic input to a client which was considering options for the route to market for its products in Japan.
  • Leading a project in Thailand to develop a winning strategy and an action plan to enable an international business to be prepared for a change in the regulatory environment that would  limit the marketing of its products.
  • Facilitating a commercial planning workshop with a Japanese sales team, for a global beverage brand.
  • Helping the general manager of a business to develop and launch a vision and strategic plan for his business. A particular focus was the engagement of internal and external stakeholders to achieve alignment and ownership of the vision and the associated action plans.
