One Bite at a Time

My home town of Noosa has an abundance of cotton trees (also called cottonwood trees), and their leaves clearly feed a considerable number of insects. The result is a gorgeous pattern of holes and markings that speak about damage, happenings and the wear and tear that life imparts on our face and bodies.

Coco Chanel famously said:

“Nature gives you the face you have at twenty. Life shapes the face you have at thirty. But at fifty you get the face you deserve.”

This series celebrates the beauty in revealing, not hiding, our life stories.
